For the majority of work taking place at height, it is generally safer to use scaffolding than ladders. This is because a scaffold erection will have a more stable base, which is constructed to sit flush to the floor. Propping a ladder against a wall is rarely a safe or reliable solution. Even where ladders can be used safely, it normally creates more work as you get a much smaller working area that you do with scaffolding.

We are based in Upminster in Essex, and work throughout the surrounding areas. We offer our scaffolding services in Kent and Greater London. We can travel further afield on request – please contact us for more details.

Scaffold erections don’t usually require a permit, unless the structure goes over any part of a footpath or road. If your scaffolding does require a permit, we can make all the necessary applications and arrangements for you.

We’ll always take great care to ensure our scaffolding doesn’t cause any damage to your land and property. We make every effort to protect your land but please discuss this with us as soon as possible if you have any concerns.

It’s important that any scaffolding is inspected before each use, as well as in the following circumstances:

  • Where the scaffolding structure has had significant alterations made to it
  • After adverse weather, like strong winds, snow or heavy rain
  • At any time where there is any cause for concern about the safety of the scaffolding.
  • We would recommend one inspection every week to make sure your scaffolding is still safe. You can be sure that we will thoroughly and regularly inspect all our scaffolding.
